沉肩 Chén jiān Rest the shoulder,
墜肘 zhuì zhǒu drop the elbows,
鬆腰 sōng yāo relax the waist,
落胯 luò kuà sink the hip
During the 1 太極拳起勢 Tàijí quán qǐ shì Taijiquan Beginning
The fingers go down and forward in a curve. Do not use the wrist. Spine stretched to opposite direction of the fingers
Generally the elbow moves from the body. Do not move arms. Shoulder sink, arms relaxed. Body turns arms follow.
When the shoulder not relaxed, the arm will just turn with the body.
Use these basic items during a form. These four forces will handle the movement.
